SOLID Energy                                        Commercial and Industrial Solar Thermal Systems 

We believe that our technology will be of great benefit in the United States, where the solar radiation is intense and the summers are hot for most of the country. The SOLID technology utilizes the power of the sun to provide energy and is one of the first companies to use that energy to provide air conditioning, a requirement that often creates peak problems for utilities in the summer. The systems allow for internal storage, allowing the energy to be provided on a firm basis. This newly emerging segment of the industry will help the US further utilize its great solar resource. In addition, this direct and efficient use of the sun allows energy to be delivered very close to current market rates. Today's solar thermal cooling and other commercial and industrial systems are state-of-the-art, manufactured for commercial usage, with low maintenance.
	Solar thermal energy is a cost-effective form of distributed energy, particularly solar.  Solar's abundance in the U.S. allows us to site systems for almost any customer in the U.S., providing efficient, low-carbon energy. The federal tax credit and accelerated depreciation apply to commercial and industrial solar thermal systems.  The current federal grant opportunity of 30% of the capital cost for a project is also available. Some States have additional incentives for solar thermal installations.
